Varmakalai

 

Varma Kalai is an Indian traditional art of vital points. It originated in present-day Kanyakumari Tamil Nadu. It combines massage, alternative medicine, traditional yoga and martial arts in which the body's pressure points ( varmam ) are manipulated to heal or cause harm.

Martial Arts

Martial Arts is a  centered on knowledge of the major nerves, or points of the body. These include body language and fighting with weapons. Varma is an art that originated in the Tamil tradition. It was started based on the Tamil medical science called Varma Sutra and later developed into a martial art.

Martial arts are codified systems and traditions of combat practiced for a number of reasons such as self-defense; military and law enforcement applications; competition; physical, mental, and spiritual development; entertainment; and the preservation of a nation's intangible cultural heritage

Medicine

A person will lose consciousness if certain nerves in the body, in certain places, are touched to a certain extent. Varma will be planted in those specific places. The vertebrae or nerves, joints, ligaments, muscles or organs, are the living entities that stand in 108 places in the body to function smoothly.

Would say the flow of life of the 108 varmas, there are 12 padu varmas ( potentially deadly ) and 96 tan varmas. which is done as an alternative to Varma impact can cure anesthesia.

Note

Although there are 108 Varma points mentioned in the footprints, there are more than a thousand Varma points in the body in experience
