NECK PAIN (C1-C7) Reasons and its solutions

Nowadays neck pain is common among every people and it may interfere with day-to- day life.Living with neck pain can be miserable, making it hard to focus and get through the day.It is not even considered and everyone accustomed with it.Because there is no permanent solution for it and the doctors also prescribe drugs or painkillers just to keep it under control for the time -being.After certain days, it repeats again and the drugs&painkillers taken may damage our organs mainly it affects kidneys.


Is there a permanent solution or not? Yes it is !


Neck pain

Neck problem can cause severe pain, strain, numbness in hands, dizziness.It can radiate across your whole upper body, affecting your shoulders, arms and chest and can even cause headaches. so if you have hand strain ,numbness regularly, you need to consult to a doctor.


First, let's look at the causes for neck pain, and prevention methods and about how we treat this.


Causes of neck pain

1. Accidental injuries

2. Sleeping with your neck in a bad position

3. Prolonged poor posture—looking at laptops,books &excessive smartphone usage.

4. Extra weight lifting

5. Driving vehicles with spine bent

6. Improper exercise


Accidental injury :-

Whiplash is most commonly sustained due to a car accident, but can also result from traumas such as a fall or a sports accident,where the muscles and ligaments of the neck are forced to move outside of their normal range.Initially it starts with neckpain hand pain, later it causes hand numbness , dizziness etc.,


Sleeping with your neck in a bad position:-


Sleep on your side by using pillows too high or stiff a pillow,which keeps the neck flexed overnight and can result in morning pain and stiffness.It may cause damage to the cervical vertebrae.



Prolonged poor posture of neck:-

The posture we have while using devices

can potentially give rise to musculoskeletal issues. Prolonged device usage can cause faulty posture such as forward neck posture, slouched posture, or rounded shoulders. Sustained forward neck posture can cause injury to the structures of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. The frequency of device, while using the phone, and the body position are some of the main factors associated with neck and shoulder pain and its severity


Gastric problem:-

The main causes of gastric problem is due to indigestion,taking excessive foods or having imbalanced food habits and due to waste remains in your body(not excreted regularly) .This gas may cause pain on your back , neck , shoulders, hands.


Extra weight lifting:-

Extra pounds put undue stress on the spine and weak abdominal muscles can fail to support it, both of which may disrupt the spine's balance and cause the neck to bend forward to compensate.


Driving Vehicles by sitting with spine bent :-

As we seen before, Wrong postures or abuse of any part of the body reflect on the spine sooner or later and causes disc bulge.And also poor suspension system ,shock absorbers the rider are bearing the brunt of vibrations throught the ride in the lower back . They get damaged, over time leading to lower back pain and slipped disc or disc bulge which may later affets the nerve from the brain.This may definitely cause hand numbness or dizziness.


Improper exercise.

Most of our patients came with neck pain because of doing exercises by watching videos through internet.The spine is not in alignment and the muscles are not tensed to support the weight.It is important to learn exercises under guidance.


How to prevent

• Having regular and proper exercise

• Have a sound sleep

• Sit in a proper posture while reading or using devices

• Driving vehicles by sitting straight

• Taking care without constipation

• Have healthy foods.



How to cure

First of all,You need to find the right doctor and find out the reason for causes and finds a better way to fix it.
